Rock Solid Evidence

Last month I wrote a post that may have struck some as far-fetched. I suggested that the “popular” view of human history is wrong, and that there was an ancient, advanced civilization that perished thousands of years ago. The post was “Maps of the Ancient Sea Kings,” and you can access it here. I wrote about the discovery of maps far superior to anything the Greeks, Romans, or any other known prior civilization could have produced. Some of the maps show the coast of Antarctica before it was covered by ice.

I like this evidence. First, it supports the Bible. The Bible states that a great flood, the flood of Noah, destroyed civilization as it then existed. Noah had 120 years to build the ark and prepare for the flood; surely he preserved technology then in existence. In my view, overall, the mental abilities of human beings are devolving, not evolving, and early humans not only possessed superior brains but lived for many hundreds of years, and developed advanced technology. Second, this evidence of ancient technology contradicts the Darwinian delusion that we “evolved” from beasts and are continually getting smarter. Third, it exposes pompous professors who won’t look at facts that contradict their worldview. Just as evolutionary biologists won’t look at the overwhelming mathematical, scientific, and fossil evidence that Darwinian theory is nonsense, that you can’t get the technology of life by chance, history professors won’t look at evidence of ancient, advanced civilization.

Unusual claims require strong evidence. After my post, one person asked “Why isn’t there other evidence?” That’s a great question, and the answer is – there is. This evidence is all over the world, some of it is huge, and, I can assure you, it is rock solid.

About 45 miles northeast of Beirut lies Baalbek, an ancient city, called Heliopolis by the Greeks. It contains three magnificent Roman temples; the “smaller” temple dedicated to Bacchus is larger and better preserved than the Parthenon outside Athens. Underneath the slightly larger temple of Jupiter lie three massive stones, known together as the trilithon, lying one on top of another. They are 62 to 64 feet long, and all 14 feet high and 12 feet wide. They are fitted together so precisely that, even today, it is impossible to insert a razor blade between them. There are no signs of any holes or other indentations that might have been used to move these stones. They weigh perhaps 800 tons each.

Half a mile away, still at the quarry, lie bigger stones, recently uncovered. One weighs perhaps 1,650 tons. This “Stone of the South” was sliced from the bedrock in a clean straight cut. It appears these other three stones were ready to be “dressed” to join the trilithon, but the project was abandoned for some unknown reason.

In his 1860 diary, Scottish traveler David Urquhart wrote that he found the giant stones “so enormous as to shut out every other thought, and yet to fill the mind with only trouble.” The stones are unnecessarily large. Why would anyone cut and move them to build a platform, unless they had the technology to do that fairly easily? You don’t spend the resources of a kingdom to build a platform.

The Romans didn’t have the technology to cut or move these stones. They would crush any rollers, and overwhelm any system of pulleys. The precision of the cuts is not just beyond Roman workmanship, it is beyond present technology. It appears the Romans had no idea the bigger stones were still lying in the quarry, or they would have sliced them into usable pieces. Who cut and moved these impossibly, unnecessarily, large stones? No one knows.

While the stones at Baalbek may be the most massive, megaliths are found all over the world. The great pyramid outside Cairo, with its 2,300,000 massive stones, some weighing 70 tons, many cut so precisely that you still, thousands of years later, can’t put a razor blade between them, is an enigma. We couldn’t build it today. Stonehenge in England has rings of stones. The outer stones weigh about 40 tons each, and were transported 20 miles from the quarry. The inner stones weigh about 5 tons each and were transported 240 miles from their quarry, over rivers. All of the stones were set in place with incredible delicacy taking into account exactly how much their weight would compress the ground beneath them, to form an immense and precise astronomical calculator. There are massive stones in Peru, supposed built by Incas, but cut in jigsaw patterns to yet again fit together exactly. At a site outside Cuzco, 50 to 300 ton blocks are cut into intricate patterns – one is cut to fit perfectly with 12 other blocks. That is mind-bending technology. Lonely Easter Island, 2,300 miles west of Chile and 2,500 miles east of Tahiti, one of the most isolated islands in the world, contains almost 900 giant stone heads, weighing up to 50 tons each. No one knows how the stones were cut and moved up cliffs hundreds of feet high. Originally there were no trees on Easter Island, and nothing to make a strong rope.

There are many other sites. We have “unnecessarily large” stones all over the world, cut with precision that cannot be matched today. No known prior civilization could have come close to cutting or moving these stones. Even today, we do not know how to cut rocks weighing dozens or hundreds of tons so precisely that you cannot put a razor blade between them.

The implications are mind-bending. From the stones, and from other evidence, it seems clear that these builders, at Baalbek, Cairo, Stonehenge, Peru, and even Easter Island, were in contact with each other. The idea that primitive “savages” got lost, landed on Easter Island, and then precisely cut and delicately moved 50-ton stone heads is laughable. Of course, that is exactly what a lot of college professors think.

I rest my case. The evidence of an ancient advanced civilization, a civilization that reached around the world, is rock solid. There is a huge amount of other evidence that contradicts the “popular” view of history. Maybe someday I’ll write another post on this subject.

God bless you for reading and being open to the truth. I am very excited that many of you are spreading the good news, are sharing that science reveals the existence of God. Together we can change the world.
