A Blatant Lie

Eagle takes flight over Grand Canyon USA 3D Render

Maybe it’s just me getting older, but it seems hard to fool kids these days. I was FaceTiming with two of my grandchildren, talking about what we’re going to do at Disney World. I told them that, unfortunately, Florida had just passed a law that forbids giving ice cream to minors. The words had hardly come out of my mouth when my 10-year-old granddaughter shouted “A Blatant Lie!”

Yes, it was a blatant lie, and my precocious granddaughter was on to me, as she usually is. But adults are easier to fool. Let me give you an example.

Have you ever been to the Grand Canyon? Fifteen years ago, when I was younger and a lot more fit, I hiked across it with two of my children. It is magnificent. It exposes, perhaps as well as any place on earth, the rock layers beneath our feet. I invite you to check out the picture at the bottom of this post.

Note how even the layers are. They are stacked one on top of the other throughout the canyon. This evenness stretches in all directions, mile after mile, layer upon layer, as far as the eye can see. The whiter layer near the top is called the Coconino Sandstone. It is sedimentary rock, which means rock formed by water. The Coconino Sandstone layer extends for hundreds of miles and is falsely claimed to be about 275 million years old.

A blatant lie! Do you see millions of years of erosion between the layers? I sure don’t. Are we supposed to believe there were hundreds of millions of years without rainfall? All across North America? Are we supposed to believe there were lots of minor, local floods that somehow created this huge Coconino Sandstone layer?

A blatant lie! I don’t care how many professors say it’s not. Look again! How many millions of years of erosion do you see? None! The layers are almost perfectly level, without noticeable erosion. They are not separated by hundreds of millions of years, and they are part of a single great event, the most cataclysmic event in geology, the Flood of Noah, which I think took place about 5,300 years ago. The different layers were caused by different stages of the great Flood.

Deep time is a blatant lie. The radiometric dating methods that some claim support deep time are based on flawed assumptions, as I noted in an earlier post titled “The Dating Game.” You can find that post and all of my previous posts on my website: countingtogod.com.

Don’t fall for the lie. Deep time was created because it was believed necessary for Darwin’s theory of evolution. Darwin’s theory is mathematical nonsense now that we know about the complexity of DNA. All computer simulations confirm that when you take complex code (DNA is the most complex code in exitence) and add random mistakes (mutations), the code gets worse, not better. Stated more plainly, the arrow of evolution is down, not up. But people thought you needed millions of years so deep time was created.

Over a hundred scientific facts expose this blatant lie.  Here’s a website listing some of them.

All is well here and I hope you all are well. It’s been a while since my last post. I was travelling, and adjusting mentally to retirement from my legal career. I’m going to try to post more often, perhaps weekly.

Thanks for reading.
