The Lord is using The God Proofs to change lives. Here’s an email sent to the Discovery Institute:
Hello!
I feel uniquely called to send a message to the author of “The God Proofs.” I have never written to an author before. However, he has made such a profound impact on our two oldest boys (ages 8 and 10).
We are a Christian family, with a strong focus on our beliefs and teachings. We are also firmly rooted in engineering and science. My husband is an electrical engineer by education who works in telecommunications. We have uncles and cousins who work in oceanography, health physics, and mechanical engineering. One uncle holds several patents established during his career with NASA.
We have four boys (ages 3, 6, 8, and 10). The three oldest (perhaps naturally) lean toward the sciences. They have a strong curiosity about the world and how it works. They get excited about and ask to go to museums. They are involved in a religiously neutral STEM program (although the owner is a Christian). They also ask to pursue additional science studies at home beyond their hybrid program.
We have been navigating our faith and the study of God’s world the best we can, and encourage our boys to ask questions. I could see the confusion and questions forming with my oldest, and I could see how he struggled with the right words to ask them.
A few weeks ago, I came home from the FEPA homeschool convention in Orlando/Kissimmee, Florida. I stopped by the Discovery Institute table in the EXPO. Although your curriculum offerings were for older students, a gentleman handed me a copy of the graphic novel, “The God Proofs,” by Douglas Ell.
Both the 8 and 10-year-old consumed it in a day. Since then I have noticed that my 10-year-old has been sleeping with our copy, and the book is becoming more dogeared by the day.
He has pulled me aside to thank me for bringing home that book at least three times. This last time he stated how much it has helped his faith. He had doubts and questions that he didn’t know how to ask. It has really helped him and brought him comfort. He was having a hard time marrying his beliefs with modern scientific inquiry. They seemed at odds with each other. Now, he has a clarity that he previously lacked.
I know that this book is geared toward children a little bit older than mine, but you should know how impactful it continues to be in our house. Thank you for gifting it to us.
I spoke with my husband about the possibility of making a bulk purchase order for the youth program at our church. I’ll be pursuing more information about that in the coming months.

I pray you will share the book and this new video with your family, especially children and grandchildren. Please share it also with your friends, and ask them to ask others to share. It’s about changing lives, and reaching our youth before they encounter the atheist nonsense of our “popular” culture. I have assigned all revenues from the book to the Discovery Institute, and, frankly, they don’t make any money on it either.
